See yourself at Twilio
Join the team as Twilio’s next Staff Technical Marketing Engineer on Twilio’s Emerging Technology and Innovation (ETI) team.
Who we are & why we’re hiring
Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.
Although we’re headquartered in San Francisco, we have presence throughout South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. We’re on a journey to becoming a global company that actively opposes racism and all forms of oppression and bias. At Twilio, we support diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business.
About the job
This position is needed to represent the Emerging Technology & Innovation (ETI) team with our developer and customer community, articulate our team’s work and amplify our message, and contribute to our team’s research and development as a voice of the developer.
Twilio’s Emerging Technology and Innovation (ETI) team explores the future of customer engagement by researching and experimenting with artificial intelligence and other cutting edge technology. We dream big, believe in rapid prototyping to test our ideas, work closely and iteratively with customers and developers, and share what we learn with the Twilio community.
We are seeking a strong storyteller who deeply understands developers, and can help us articulate, amplify and contribute to our research. One of our team’s core principles is developer and customer obsession. This person would help us live that principle by immersing within the developer community as an ambassador for ETI, and helping get the ETI team’s work in the hands of developers in creative ways. This person would be deeply embedded within the ETI work and will partner closely with our product and engineering teams to help us get our ideas out into the world and gather hands-on feedback. These signals will directly impact the trajectory of our team’s work. This person would also contribute their own research and provide a point of view on how the developer experience within customer engagement will evolve with emerging technologies.
We want someone who loves working cross-functionally and establishing connective tissue both internally and externally. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including our amazing team of developer evangelists, marketing partners, research and product teams, and other stakeholders. The ETI team is a small group of builders and we often wear many hats. We are seeking someone who is excited to envision the future with us and make developers a core part of the ETI team’s exploration.
