Manage a team of 6 – 8 Claims Associates, supporting their development through coaching and training.
Lead recruiting initiatives, performance management, and Associate development.
Provide support and training on best practices to ensure best-in-class customer service.
Manage commercial casualty claims from inception to conclusion, including settlement and litigation management.
Conduct on-site field investigations of reported commercial claims.
Maintain knowledge of insurance lines, court decisions, claims guidelines, and policy changes.
Deliver superior claims service adhering to high standards of professional conduct.
Manage reserve process to ensure adequacy and approve special reserves as necessary.
Provide advice, counsel, and training to Claims Representatives of all levels.
Identify, develop, and retain high potential/high performing associates.

7+ years of commercial construction defect claims experience preferred.
Leadership experience preferred, particularly in managing teams.
Strong knowledge and practice of coverage interpretation.
State licensing where required; completion of applicable claims certification training/classes preferred.
Proven ability to resolve complex commercial claims and manage litigation.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency with personal computers and related software.
Willingness to work extended hours, travel, and participate in catastrophe (CAT) situations.
