ICF MACRO, INC.: Junior/Mid-Level Statistical Programmer (multiple positions) Full Time

Duties

• Perform data quality checks on survey data, including invalid IDs, duplicate records, failed skip patterns, and outliers; suggest and implement solutions.
• Prepare processed data for dissemination and statistical analysis by recording variables, imputing missing data, and reshaping data structure.
• Create data delivery packages including processed datasets, format libraries, codebooks, and other necessary instructions for clients and data users.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation describing analytic and data manipulation steps for studies.
• Write technical reports for project delivery, including non-response analysis and weighting/sampling procedure reports.
• Create presentations and posters for conferences related to statistics, data sciences, survey research, and public health.
• Collaborate with senior statisticians to conduct statistical analyses using various methods including descriptive statistics, generalized linear models, random effects models, and machine learning.
• Support survey data collection activities using sampling techniques for web, landline, cell phone, and mail-based surveys.
• Implement survey data weighting protocols such as non-response adjustments and post-stratification for complex surveys.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Survey Methodology, or a related field with 3 years of applied statistical, analytical, or data management experience; or Master’s degree with 1 year of experience.
• Proficiency in statistical programming or scripting languages, SAS, Microsoft Office or similar software, and survey research methodologies.
• Experience conducting statistical analysis on data with complex survey designs.
• Ability to generate reports and deliverables for clients.
• Knowledge demonstrated through education, training, or experience.
