Claims Optimization Program Manager at SageSure Full Time

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Program Manager, Claims Optimization. This role is responsible for overseeing and improving the processes within our property claims organization. The focus is on optimizing claims management procedures for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. This role involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to ensure that the claims process meets organizational goals and standards.

What you’d be doing:

• Identify and document business requirements for the claims management process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance of the claims management process.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Establish and enforce quality standards for claims management, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with claims adjusters, evaluators, and other stakeholders to streamline and improve the claim segmentation workflow.
• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the performance of the estimating platform and claim evaluation processes.
• Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the claims management procedures.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce turnaround times.
• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the performance of the claims management process.
• Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Lead and manage specific segments of the property claims process.
• Assist in creating training material for claims adjusters and other stakeholders to ensure effective utilization of claims management systems and adherence to quality standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Design and implement efficient processes for managing litigation / liability within the property claims organization. This includes establishing protocols for tracking, coordinating, and facilitating communication between internal and external teams.
• Design and implement processes for determining coverage for property claims. This includes developing criteria for assessing coverage, reviewing insurance policies, and making coverage determinations in accordance with established guidelines.
• Foster collaboration between various departments, including claims, legal, compliance, and underwriting, to ensure alignment and efficiency in litigation, liability, and coverage processes.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of litigation, liability, and coverage processes. Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications a plus.
• 7 – 10 years proven experience in program management and claims adjusting, specifically with property claims.
• Strong understanding of best practices and data associated with claims management process outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and optimize processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
• Able to perform work with limited supervision, while possessing the ability to effectively prioritize and manage daily workflow and project assignments to meet specified deadlines.

Additional Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to property claims litigation, liability, and coverage. This includes familiarity with insurance laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing litigation and liability processes within a property claims environment.
• Extensive experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, claims adjusters, underwriters, and regulatory authorities.
